Stranger Than Kindness : The Nick Cave Exhibition is a multi-media journey into the complex works, creative life, and artistic legacy of musician, songwriter, storyteller, and cultural icon Nick Cave.

Stranger Than Kindness combines large scale installations, multi-media works, scenographic recreations, and an originally produced atmospheric soundscape with hundreds of objects and artifacts. Sourced from Nick Cave’s own private collection, the collections of Arts Centre Melbourne, The Royal Danish Library, and a number of private collections, the exhibition shows the great length of Cave’s artistic reach. Original artwork, handwritten lyrics, manuscripts, photographs, diaries, recorded music, videos, and an array of personal items offer a unique window into the fascinating world of an indelible creative force.
